Dr. Sunil P. Pande ( Director )
He is a Retired Director-grade-Scientist of National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. He is an Inorganic Analytical Chemist with Ph.D. in Chemistry from Nagpur University. He has vast experience in analytical methods development for trace pollutants and has worked extensively on the problem of Arsenic in drinking water. He has visited Bangladesh as a short-term WHO consultant for development of Field Kit for Arsenic. He was actively engaged in Water Quality Assessment studies carried out by NEERI in different States of India under the Water Mission (WM) programme of Government of India. He has visited Canada and Malawi under important assignments of WHO and Commonwealth Science Council. He has awarded with prestigious INSA Fellowship to visit Russia inder INSA-USSR Academy of Sciences, Collaborative Programme 1984-85. He has also worked as Project Advisor in the Environmental Impact and Risk Assessment (EIRA) Division of NEERI, Nagpur. Dr.Pande is a recognised Guide for Ph.D. in Nagpur University. Five students have been awarded Ph.D. degree under his supervision. He has authored two Books entitled "Arsenic in Aquatic Environment" and "A Technical Manual for Water and Wastewater Analysis".
